Summary:
April 2010 had temperatures above average, lots of sunny days and below average rainfall.

The mean temperature for April was above average, along with the mean maximum, however the mean minimum was slightly below average.
Quite alot of days had big temperature ranges, with daytime Max's in the mid-teens but nighttime Min's falling below 5C, the largest range was of 15.8C on the 18th, with a min of 1.7C and a max of 17.5C.
There were no air frosts in April. The maximum for the month was 18.2C on the 27th, with the minimum at just above freezing at 0.2C. Almost all of the maximums were above 10C, with just 2 days below, which were at the start of the month.

A low humidity of 39% was recorded, which was also recorded as the minimum in March, and is still the record lowest humidity reading.

The pressure stayed above 1,000 mb for most of the month, but did fall below 1,000 mb for just 14 hours in the first few days.

The maximum gust was 29.8mph on the 2nd. Wind runs for the start of the month were over 100 Miles each day, followed by a couple of weeks with wind runs under 100. After which they increased again to over 100.
The dominant wind direction for the month as a whole was from the NE. During the first part of the month there were mixed average directions each day, during the middle part the wind came mainly form a northerly direction, which then flipped during the last week, and came from a mainly S/SW direction.

The rainfall for April was below average, rain fell on just 8 days, and only 35.7mm fell (57.6% of Aprils Average). Making April 2010 the driest month since I got the weather station. The wettest day was on the 2nd when 9.3mm fell.
From the 1st to the 6th 22.2mm of rain fell, this was followed by 17 consecutive days of no rainfall (1 day off the current record), followed by 13.5mm from the 23rd to the 30th.
