Summary:
Temperatures for September were on average, rainfall was above average, and there was quite alot of cloud.

Temperature
Temperatures started off above average, but slowly over the course of the month went down to average. The final means for the month stand roughly on average for September, with mean max being just 0.3C above average and the mean min being 0.4C below average. The mean temperature of the daily means was just 0.1C Above Average.

Pressure
The first few days of September were dominated by high pressure North of Wales keeping conditions dry and settled.
5th low pressure started to move in bringing alot of cloud and rain with various fronts passing.
12th there was an area of High pressure NE of Azores moving towards the UK, with low pressure to the north of the UK.
14th there was high pressure in bay of Biscay, LP North of Scotland, bringing fronts across the country.
19th there was HP over France, LP south of Iceland, and another LP near Finland, more fronts passed.
22nd LP over northern Ireland, heading south eastwards - Cold front passes bringing lots of heavy rain.
25th area of HP West of Cornwall, LP over The Netherlands.
28th LP near Iceland, more fronts pass.

Wind
There was less wind during September than the previous two months. A total wind run of 3006.6 miles of wind were recorded. With the maximum gust being 30.4 mph on the 14th. The Windiest Day was the 10th (254.1 Miles) whilst the calmest Day was the 27th (14.8 Miles).

Rain
September recieved more than its average amount of rainfall, with a total of 97.8mm of rain which is 108.9% of the monthly average. This fell over 14 day, with the wettest day being the 22nd on which 27.5mm fell, on the 22nd there were some very heavy downpours, the highest rain rate reached 52mm/hr.
