Summary:

April was cool, and dryer than previous months.

April was rather cool with temperatures below average. It was however dryer than previous months. The month was mostly dominated by high pressure keeping it reasonably dry.
The start of the month was dry with no rain for the first six days. It was also cool, however with North Easterly winds it felt colder.
After the first week low pressure moved in and bought most of the months rainfall, It also became minder with temperatures reaching early to mid teen figures.
During the latter third of the April there were a mixture of wet and dry days and the temperatures stayed milder.

Total rainfall for April was 47.1 mm (68% of Average), rain was recorded on 19 of 30 days. The wettest day was 13th where 11.5 mm fell.

Temperatures were below average for April. The mean maximum was 10.9°C (0.8°C below average), the mean minimum was 4.4°C (1.6°C below average), and the overall Mean for the month was 7.4°C (1.5°C below average).

The Dominant wind directions were South and NE. The average wind speed was 10.4 mph and the total windrun was 7510.3 miles making it our windiest April.
